BioRen Technology

BioRen, based in Rio de Janeiro, is a Brazilian company that develops innovative solutions through its disruptive technology to combat marine biofouling. It is developing and offering the market a completely unique, efficient, and sustainable solution.

BioRen technology was developed in 2013 and, since its market launch in 2022, has been successfully used on dozens of vessels. The system uses electromagnetic fields, without resorting to biocides or ultrasound, offering a sustainable and efficient alternative capable of protecting hulls and niche areas of ships and platforms. BioRen's main area of ​​operation is in the maritime and offshore sectors, but it is also studying applications in other areas such as the port industry, energy, or any other sector that has some type of impact from biofouling.

BioRen has been developing projects and installations with shipowners and oil and gas operators, with experience in commercial vessels (bulk carriers, containers, chemical tankers and barges), offshore support vessels (tugboats, PSVs, RSVs, AHTSs and others), subsea installation vessels (PLSVs), drilling rigs and production platforms (FPSOs).
