Hull Vane BV is a Netherlands-based company that offers proven hydrodynamic solutions to increase vessel efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and improve onboard comfort. The Hull Vane® is a submerged wing at the stern that optimizes water flow, reducing drag and improving navigation. The technology is successfully applied to offshore support vessels, patrol boats, ferries, military vessels, yachts, and cruise ships.
Hull Vane offers three product families: the T series for vessels with transom sterns, the U series for more complex stern geometries, and bespoke solutions. Depending on the vessel type and operational profile, fuel savings range from 5% to 25%, reducing movements and improving comfort and operational efficiency.
With CFD analysis and real-scale validation, Hull Vane accurately predicts fuel savings and return on investment for retrofits and new construction. It is a proven solution, developed in the Netherlands, that supports maritime decarbonization and generates commercial benefits.
