With a record-breaking structure, Navalshore 2025 announces a historic edition for the naval sector.
Expanded area and robust technical agenda reinforce the role of Latin America's largest maritime industry fair as a platform for innovation and industrial cooperation
In its 19th edition, Navalshore 2025 consolidates itself as the largest maritime industry trade fair in Latin America, with significant growth in structure and sector presence. The event will be held from August 19th to 21st at Expo Rio Cidade Nova (formerly Expo Mag), in Rio de Janeiro, with an expanded exhibition area from 6 to 10 square meters. The number of exhibitors has also grown, from 110 to 136 companies, representing more than 400 national and international brands in the naval and offshore supply chain.
The expansion reflects the new investment cycle in the Brazilian shipbuilding industry, which saw over R$30 billion in investments in 2024—the largest volume in over a decade, according to data from the Merchant Marine Fund (FMM). This is in addition to the R$22 billion approved by the fund in 2025 for new projects, solidifying a scenario of vigorous recovery. Within this strategic context, Navalshore 2025 is expected to drive the opening of deals estimated at over R$12 billion, considering contracts initiated, commercial partnerships underway, and connections between suppliers, shipowners, shipyards, and industry institutions.

The entry of new players such as WEG, Kongsberg, Estaleiro Mac Laren and American Bureau of Shipping reinforces market confidence and the role of the fair as a decisive environment for business, partnerships and strategic decisions,” says Rosângela Vieira, director of Navalshore.
The event aims to foster an environment conducive to partnerships, stimulating new business opportunities and knowledge exchange among the leading companies in this market. To this end, Navalshore 2025 - the Maritime Industry Fair and Conference - relies on a technical program structured in two complementary formats.
The official conference, held over the three-day event, will feature thematic panels and separate lectures, bringing together experts, authorities, and industry representatives to discuss the challenges and future of the naval and offshore industry. Concurrently, there will be a Lecture Series, where participating companies present solutions, case studies, and innovations directly to the trade show's technical and decision-making audience.
During the first two days of the event, a business roundtable will be held to bring suppliers, shipowners, shipyards, and logistics operators closer together. The event will feature the participation of strategic companies in the shipping industry, such as Transpetro, the event's master sponsor, as well as Brazilian shipyards.
In 2024, Navalshore received over 11.500 visitors. For the 2025 edition, the expectation is to surpass 15 professionals from the maritime and offshore supply chain, including engineers, decision-makers, technicians, and institutional representatives from all over Brazil, Latin America, and strategic markets such as Europe and Asia – reflecting the growing global interest in the Brazilian naval sector.
