The objective is to promote the development of the naval sector in Brazil and offer the expertise of the Swedish company, which ranges from the construction of ships and vessels to unmanned underwater and surface vehicles.
For this year's event, Saab is highlighting a selection of autonomous or remotely operated underwater vessels and vehicles that can be used in a wide range of activities. In Brazil, the underwater vehicle system is used by companies in the Oil & Gas and wind energy sectors, but can also support naval security in mine countermeasures, underwater surveillance, among others.
Another highlight of the company is the high-performance CB90 speedboat, a solution with several functionalities that meet relevant and necessary missions in Brazil, such as patrolling rivers and coastlines, search and rescue operations and the prevention of illegal activities. Saab is also advancing in the development of unmanned surface vehicles, using the CB90 speedboat as a platform.
