The construction of the Tamandaré-class frigates at the Estaleiro Brasil Sul, owned by thyssenkrupp Marine Systems, includes three frigates in different stages of development. The first vessel, the Tamandaré frigate, has already been launched and is undergoing commissioning of its combat systems and weapons. The second frigate has its hull practically completed, while the third has advanced to the construction stage.
The project adopts the Paperless methodology, which improves the accuracy and traceability of information and reduces environmental impact. It also uses augmented reality to optimize assemblies and offer remote support.
The program generates 23.000 direct, indirect and induced jobs, moving a production chain with more than 1.000 suppliers in Brazil. In addition, it is part of the federal government's New PAC (Growth Acceleration Program), expanding investments in the defense sector and naval infrastructure.
