The increase in offshore support and the strengthening of inland navigation, combined with the demands for port support, have left suppliers and distributors of engines for service vessels with good prospects. Companies had a positive 2024 and believe that there is still pent-up demand ready to result in new contracts throughout 2025. Petrobras' contracts, the priorities granted by the Merchant Marine Fund (FMM) for the waterway mode and the constant modernization of the tugboat fleet renewed expectations for new business.
